We are on the trail of a whale!  Powerful flukes 5 m across propel humpback whales on a mammoth journey, some 6,000 km to and from the northern, tropical breeding grounds and the southern feeding grounds in the Antarctic.  The whalers once thought the “foot-print” or flat spot on the water surface near the whales was the oil oozing from the blubber.  The movement of the tail flukes leaves this tail-beat or foot-print – it is a beautiful pattern and soon the ambient water texture resumes.  These are the type of foot-prints humans should be leaving…

Beautiful scenery in the tropics while working with whales is just another bonus.  Skipper is thrilled to be in whale country too!
