More Boobies! (Oct 29, 2015)
The fascination of our expensive equipment by the red-footed booby is unrelenting! They love all the gizmos! These slender boobies are the world’s smallest boobies but are still a rather large seabird with their wingspan extending to 1.4 m.
Location, Location, Location! Red-footed boobies crowd for space on our mast, the weather instruments being the most favoured real estate!
With 12,000 resident pairs on Christmas Island, we feel as though we have had a good proportion with us each day!

Booby at the Fairlead. Usually, we have Skipper, our Jack Russell looking out the fairlead, in his absence, we have a booby!
Three is not a crowd. Surely there must be room for one more on these instruments!
