In the slowly setting sun we visually located a pygmy blue whale we detected on the acoustics equipment at this bearing from the sonobuoy. Fresh, strong calls boomed and with a course change, ten minutes later at 1.5 nm distance, we found our caller! Yes, Rodney’s Super-Duper Blue Whale Finder has done it again! With Rodney’s help I haven’t lost my day job, not yet anyway!
