Wonderful Whales!

Oct 21, 2014

A unique grey, almost-yellow border along the edge of the caudal peduncle, together with the light grey and patterns on the darker grey skin all make it easy to identify and thus resight this humpback whale.  The shape of the dorsal fin is also another individual feature.  By collecting photo-identification and searching for resights, important case history data can be gathered providing understanding of how humpback whales utilise areas on the WA coastline.
