Breach!  With just 3-4 tail beats humpback whales are air-borne!

In this image one can see scarring and scratches on the topside of the tail flukes.  The trailing edge of each fluke has unique scalloping for clear identification when employing the more traditional photo-id technique, which photographs the underside of a humpback whales’ “fingerprint-like” tail flukes.
